How Flipkart survived to be the "Sole Owner" ?

When Flipkart started as a tiny bookseller site nobody knows the potential of the company which not only promised but also delivers it, they not only successfully faced the challenges but literally vanishes the crowded market with their strategies. Its a talking point for many that how a off late struggling Flipkart managed to do a shopping of decent competitors in the Market ? What went wrong which let promoters of other competitors decided not to burn more and steam out from the Business ?

Flipkart, Snapdeal - Freecharge, Paytm are the startup glory of India but pronouncing a different stories altogether. Despite Paytm was the front runner to grab the demonetisation moment with both hand and getting continuous green signal from the Chinese E Comm major Alibaba, they still looking for either this way or another and or ready with any acquisition or merger and if its coming from the successful brand like Paytm then its a point to be noted for business observer.

Though these famous startups not has any unique concept but they did everything right so that their presence felt Globally despite limited to Indian Market only and tats how a Brand can manage to get a hefty investment from International Majors. Earlier days Business tycoons tries to put their hands on many orthodox or in non orthodox business out of which some used to work or some gets fail but they were always upto to try something new.

Path of Startup Guy is also same like Business Tycoon who took risk to start something new but most of the time with their own resources unless like Startup which expands only after receiving the major push from Investing Groups and basically this what the biggest reason of any Startup's failure. Not to be critical on Startups here since its a season of Merger with even Big Majors shaking hands with each other after found themselves difficult to survive.

Merger causes a huge layoff and in most of the cases with L1 Space to get clean up due to the "Performance" factor but in Startup layoff can be done in Senior Management too, imagine a employer hires you and make you feel that you're extremely lucky to get hire in the best of the best workplace and wants you to be committed and expect your talent limited to the group but can't assure your future in the company as well !!

Mistake can happen from the Senior Level and sometime people who was nothing to do with that mistake pays the price. No responsibility surely even if any Group admitted their error as neither they're authorised or either they're bound to answer. Flipkart as a brand settled in Market by doing nothing special where other brands spend Millions of Dollars just to spread the word. Flipkart most of their initial years was Pro Customer which led them make a space in every household.

In recent past Flipkart struggled Financially and their Valuation gone down which forced them to take some strict steps and to fix themselves in every aspect. They also lost the tag of Exclusive Site of many Electronic Brands which they hold for many years and their rift with sellers too gone high when they changed T&C for Sellers. But acquisition and connectivity with people was the key for Flipkart which increases the market share of the entire group and that was the positive for them.

As the argument is quite valid for a Investor companies that to earn they have to shell out money on a progressive company but with this they're also accountable to their Promoters and they have to show the graph in Green to get a "Green". Nowhere days Merger is the way to cut the cost for the internal operations though as a brand they still alive and contributing separately and with acquiring Myntra - Jabong and now Ebay India is a one such example from Flipkart. Strategically Flipkart also moved their Logistic arm E Kart as a separate entity which helped their entire group to shape up as a Big Unit.

Planning is one the X Factor in the business and if any business house looking to expand by acquiring then what're the priority of it ? And tats where the Companies set the different path for themselves which might Hit or Falls. Whatever the end result may be but that impacts the Market with Recession and End of Competition. This may help the Top Brass to get rid of running a tight business but they will left their trumpet blowers behind as Hopeless and Disappointed.

Poor EVM is now "Election Vote Manipulation"

Ever since BJP sweeps Uttarpradesh, a lots of tense faces with very heavy voice start pointing out on a "possible conspiracy" on EVMs to help BJP winning election with a big margin in UP. Poor EVMs never blamed like this before ever since they exists in India, yes its being blamed by non technical politician with their political frames and their frustration was understandable unless like mere political excuse from IITians turned politicians who learns to play technology on their entire academics more then a Engineer from State based Universities, their reasoning should be called as "Shocker" just like any student who feels that he or she deserves a extra marks or a job seeker who expects HR to give him or her a sure shot opportunity despite they never stood as per the expectation. Surprisingly Parties and Faces came to limelight thanks to that EVM only have no courage to challenge their power again but continue to raise finger on EVMs after their defeat. With EVM on center stage they indirectly pointing on a Constitutional Body which is equals to everyone and parties who're questioning somewhat proving the misuse of power on their regime may be ?

Candidates and Party who appears to be deceive in election should please with their effort though as atleast they haven't got Zero even after their very little effort. They should search those peoples from politics who got zero for different - different reason, one of the reason may be "Booth Capturing" too. Not letting someone to vote or contest for election is a kind of crime and atleast we're now moved away from that but still we're living in a era where Parties thinking to win any election due to its Leadership or Part time issue of "Freedom of Expression". Today's voter bought a change on themselves, they knows the deep inside of every voice and actual intentions behind it, they knows who's representing what ? Today's voter will not going to vote due to occasional leader who request for a change and only criticize the policy of current Government because they have to and tats why after taking a blow on this leaders who asked for a proof on "Surgical Strike" against Pakistan are now condemning Pakistan after they convicted a Former Naval Officer for spying and requesting the Government to bring the officer back safely.

During the assembly election few villages headlined Nationally due to National Media was exploring Uttar Pradesh to cover a stories (which we will get to see only during next General Election), highlighted their boycott on not to vote due to no electricity, no water, no availability of basic needs which is essential to live a basic life, they decided not to trust on anyone because leaders they trusted never seen in 5 years. To save the future of parties and their intellectual needs to start studying a basic figure of "Population of specific region compare to Voters voted to all parties divided by the Votes they received", it will be enough to understand the entire concept of politics rather then researching or understanding the concept of hacking in EVMs because rather then a EVM hack its a hack of a ideology which lost the election. High time for parties to appoint scholars whose leadership are unaware from ground reality rather then a strategic who draws few point to crack the election.

Challenging EVMs may be the only way left to hide the inability to win people's heart but disappoints those who won the election beating a "Waves". Because of this EVM tussle efforts of Captain Amrinder looks very tiny, when Party leadership offered and wanted him to contribute in National Politics he's only wish to won the Assembly Election and become a Chief Minister of the State for one last time led him left everything aside for Punjab. There was a anti incumbency in Punjab due to Akali was in power from last 10 years but Badals winning election proved that their constituency supporting them! Taking a stand is quite a tricky thing but it needs to be care of and if its impacting negatively then it will not benefit at all. Criticizing EVM despite of knowing the consequences and describing the consequences infront of Media will only help someone to create a meme rather then expecting a support. Better if Party and Leadership man enough to accept the defeat and start preparing for the next challenge as to win the election parties and leadership needs to become a "alternative" rather then advocating the alternatives of EVM.

At 31st of March Reliance Jio extended the date of "Prime" Membership for another 15 days it means till 15th of April any users can buy the Prime Membership along with "Summer Surprise Offer" which can be avail by recharging Rs. 303 or more, although at 6th of April Reliance Jio has withdrawn the summer surprise offer after TRAI ask them to do so but Jio guarantees the 3 Months Data for a complimentary basis to those users who already recharged with Prime Membership + the recharge amount of Rs. 303 or more. Jio may be forced to stop taking recharges of prime membership a week before the "promised" extended date but one thing for sure any freebie offer suits Reliance Jio more then their competitors.

In recent past subscription charges of different services has gone high after Telecos bought spectrum in very high prices compare to before in "First come first basis". It was a time when Telecos thought to recover the money since many small players came, shined and doomed due to irregularities during "Telecom Revolution" and hurt the big players automatically. Those days MNPs was in full swing and at one hand when small players was busying luring customers with some initial offers, big players was making people to realize that their Network and Infrastructure is the most trusted one to choose with.

Indeed the quality of Telecom Industry was degraded and mostly companies start sharing spectrum with each other to expand their business in many very little resources. The scene was not lesser like any startup where even Financiers and Builders jumped with a collaboration with Indian and Foreign groups. Reliance is newest in the Industry and got latest resources for their 4G services which can be easily tuned to 5G in near future as Mr. Ambani himself referred. For Jio the infrastructure is one time investment for next 10 years atleast. Jio is currently targeting only in 4G / VoLTE users who got it in their Smartphones and surely in near future as well. 

After Jio came into the picture Telecom companies start loosing money due to Jio's free model, before other Telecoms only making losses from their Tower business and now at this stage mostly Telecos are distancing their core business with the infrastructure one due to have no space left to survive. Reliance's strategy was quite clear with Jio, its not about only Telecoms but also about the services. Their investment in Network 18, a gradually looking strategic partnership with India's biggest broadcaster STAR INDIA was one of such steps which make Jio offering more sensible.

Other operators despite of being trend setters came up with their own desperate move of VAS Services and forced to follow the Jio's pricing with a unified recharge of Data, SMS, Call which made the Telecos to pay the price of it. The bigger challenge for other Telecos to keep the existing customer under their roof as its very hard to attract the new one. The reason Jio extending the free model by the name of "Complimentary Offer" due to their crucial planning on expanding the network and tat is the only area where they must be concerning on for long term. Data speed is the biggest problem in Digital Era movement and that will remain but any Telecos prime focus is the Network coverage and as Mr. Ambani in some of his speech mentioned his company's focus to expand the Network by 98% throughout the Nation.

No doubt after Jio, data consumption in the Country increased despite of cut in regular high speed data from Jio bringing down from "Unlimited" to "4Gb per day" to "1Gb per day". Internet connections gone stable after January 2017 compare to last year due to heavy usage but still in many places peoples are not getting the desired standards of 4G. Jio's freebie is the example of people's actual take on Jio paid. Jio surpasses 100 million subscribers within 6 Months after its official launch but tat mark is more because of Jio's free service. Even despite of entire March month, Jio extended the Prime Membership date for another 15 days by offering the complimentary free data for another 3 Months for free which forced those people to opt Jio who made their mind to ditch it.

Problem with Jio is tat they hardly able to achieve what they promised in terms of quality. Currently they're struggling in Mobile network and their Broadband and Jio Link are yet to reach in every doorstep, though currently they're in trial run with free subscription on. There is no doubt that Jio has gone extra mile with their subscription plans with no other operator has did so, other operators despite of being competitors with each other was united by the excuse of competitive conflicts. Indeed any brand establishes due to business only but sometime it requires to connect with the people. Mostly Reliance's concentration will be to continue the unified subscription at very nominal price and keeps on improving the quality as well as ready to face any consequences in near future from any side.
